There are so many picturesque beaches to choose from in Thailand and it’s no surprise that so many tourists flock to the beautiful beaches of Phuket and Samui. But if you’d like something a little more charming and chill, Koh Lanta is the beach for you. With crystal clear waters and a lush forest backdrop, the 500-metre-long beach is the perfect spot to swim with the brightly colored fish, snorkel, or just soak up the rays and serene atmosphere.

There are loads of traditional markets to explore in Thailand, but Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a little more special. Situated an hour and a half out of Bangkok, you’ll be able to choose from cool clothes, fresh food and produce, and quirky souvenirs- all whilst floating along the river on a long-tail boat. Be sure to sample the coconut pancakes while you’re there. This is something you won’t have the chance to do very often, so it’s well worth a visit.
</break>

Making a Splash
Time your visit to Thailand just right, and you’ll experience the unbelievable Songkran festival. No, this isn’t another standard musical festival, it’s one of the biggest water fights you’ll ever partake in, and is the celebration of the Thai New Year. So if you’ve got some free time in mid-April, you’re in for a treat. What better way to cool down!
</break>

Talking with the Animals
Who could really visit Thailand without getting up close with the animals? Make a trip to the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai where the rescued elephants roam free, and you’ll have the chance to interact with them too. Bathing an elephant is certainly something you won’t forget. Khaoi National Park is another great spot to spend a day. Here you’ll find more elephants, as well as gibbons and giant hornbill. This is the perfect escape from busy Bangkok. Don’t forget your camera so that you can get a snap or two with your new friends.
</break>

Going Big in Bangkok
No visit to Thailand would be complete without a trip to Bangkok- arguably the most diverse and exciting city to explore. Be wowed by the sacred grounds and intricate architecture of the Grand Palace and Wat Prakaew, or equally stunned by the beauty of The Temple of Dawn, which has the most amazing silhouette come sunset. Up for something livelier, hop on a Tuktuk and drive though the hustle and bustle of China Town, or visit Khao San Road for nightlife beyond compare. The buzz of the Capital is truly infectious!
Oozing with amazing culture, a trip to Thailand never fails to impress.
