“Where to next?” It’s a daunting question that I’m asked fairly often, but most recently by my family at Thanksgiving dinner. It’s a question that makes me a little nervous because I don’t currently have anything big on the books. Of course, I don’t usually until a few days/weeks/hours before, but it’s still causes me some anxiety. On the other hand, I kinda like when this question comes up because I get the chance to reflect on where I’ve been and daydream about where I’m going and sometimes learn about some turn of the century stereotypes from my grandmother.

As for the “where to next” question, there is one location I’ve always wanted to see; Egypt. I’ve wanted to visit Egypt for as long as I can remember for the same reasons that most people do, the history. I know Egypt has much more to offer; warm weather, palm trees, beaches, beautiful resorts, but I’ll be honest… I want to see the pyramids!

The two main things that have kept me from seeing the pyramids for this long are cost, and of course, safety concerns. That’s why now is such a good time to stop putting off this bucket-list worthy Egypt holiday! Unrest in recent years has caused an unfortunate drop in tourism to Egypt. The fortunate side effect of this has been a drop in cost for those of us brave enough to visit!

Safety of course, is the much larger of the two concerns. You can’t put a price on that. It is always important to be cautious while traveling and it’s a good idea to visit your home government website to learn about any potential travel advisories. Luckily in the case of Egypt, the political unrest has settled and the prices have yet to rise, making now the perfect time to plan your trip.
